Please join us on September 14th at the Convene Meeting Space for our annual opening meeting.  The topic is “2018 Outlook for Hotel Sourcing – What Trends to Expect on your Lodging Sourcing.”

The program will begin with a presentation by Jenna Finkelstein, CBRE Senior Consultant, reviewing market studies about demand, pricing and growing & developing hotel markets. The second part of the program will be a panel discussion about what trends to expect on your 2018 RFP led by Stacy Clifton of Harvard, Dan Miller of Biogen, Kyle Duggan of W Hotels, Jane Burnell of Four Seasons, and Brittany Tutan of 4-D Consulting/FCM with Jenna Finkelstein as the moderator. This panel of subject matter experts is sure to engage the audience and bridge the gap between buying and selling!

Presenter/ Moderator:
Jenna Finkelstein, Senior Consultant for the Northeast Practice of CBRE Hotels

Since joining CBRE Hotels, Jenna has experienced a wide variety of hospitality consulting projects, including market demand studies, valuations, and operational analyses, and has appraised over $1 billion in hospitality real estate. Her industry experience includes hotels of all chain scales, destination resorts, private member clubs, and spas. In addition, Jenna is the coordinator for Boston Monthly Trends® and CBRE’s Trends® in the Hotel Spa Industry. Prior to joining CBRE Hotels she attended the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University and minored in Real Estate.  She is a member of various professional and community organizations, and during her time in Boston served as a committee member on the 2015 Board for the Cornell Hotel Society- New England chapter.


Dan Miller, Associate Director of Business Operations Sourcing at Biogen

Dan is responsible for overseeing the commodity strategy, sourcing, and contracting activities for the global travel categories.  Previously he held travel management positions with Raytheon, General Dynamics, Medtronics (formally Covidian), Genuity Solutions, and American Express.  A graduate of Boston University (BS) and Boston College (MBA), Dan is a certified Six Sigma Specialist.  During his career he has provided testimony before the US Department of Justice, US Department of Transportation, and the European Commission on airline joint venture and antitrust topics.

Stacey M Clifton, CCTE, GTP Manager of Travel, Expense & Card Services, Harvard University

Stacey joined Harvard University in 2000 after serving as Corporate Travel Manager at Liberty Mutual Insurance Group and Simplex for 12 years. Stacey oversees Harvard’s Managed Travel Program and is responsible for vendor selection and management, policy development, Travel program education and outreach to schools and departments and the oversight of the Reimbursement and Card Services area. In 2014 she received her Certificate of Professional Development for the Global Leadership Program at The Wharton School. Stacey is a member of the local NEBTA Chapter and serves in an advisory capacity to The Boston Consortium's Travel Program.

Brittany Tuten, Consultant at 4th Dimension Business Travel Consulting

Brittany started with 4th Dimension Business Travel Consulting (4D) in 2015 as the lead consultant for hotel sourcing engagements and has managed over 100 national and multinational hotel RFP programs over the last 2 years. Brittany is responsible for all elements of the supplier selection process on behalf of 4D’s corporate clients, including evaluation, negotiation, implementation, and ongoing program management. She uses a consultative approach and leading-edge tools to provide expert recommendations to maximize return on investment and meet specific program goals.

Jane Burnell-Fraser, Vice President of Sales Americas at Four Seasons

Jane is a British national and has worked for Four Seasons Hotels for 17 years. The first 13 years of her time with the company was spent based in London and Dubai where she headed up regional sales for the European, Middle Eastern and African region. Her entrepreneurial spirit has helped spear head many new initiatives not least being the first female sales representative from Four Seasons Hotels to travel to Saudi Arabia and lead direct sales efforts for the company.
Jane is now based in Toronto at the corporate headquarters for Four Seasons where she oversees regional sales for the Americas worldwide sales offices. Jane is married to a Canadian who recently retired as a two star General in the Canadian armed forces. He recently signed her up to train to be a soldier for the day which only helped to reinforce Jane's passion for her career with Four Seasons Hotels!

Kyle Duggan, Director of Sales & Marketing, W Boston

Kyle graduated from UMass Amherst with a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality & Tourism Management.  Since then he has worked at various hotels in Boston area such Hyatt Regency, The Ritz-Carlton, Boston Common and the Starwood Boston Metro Market Sales team.  He has specialized in business travel sales for 7 years before starting in his new role as Director of Sales and Marketing at W Boston.  Here he is in charge of driving top line revenue and marketing efforts for this 238 room modern luxury hotel.  In his off time Kyle is an avid sports fan who enjoys golfing in the warm weather and skiing in Maine in the winter.
